Boom! Its taken time and research but I have finally found my new regular coffee spot in the morning close to my office in Moorgate.

Wild & Wood sits nestled amongst the London Wall lunch spots, its difficult to notice that its there unless you are looking for it. From the outside it somehow makes me think of an old London book store, lots of notices in the window obscuring you from easily glancing into this little coffee spot.

On entering you will find a few tables with old church pew's for seating. You will also notice a lovely selection of baking and goodies for nibbling on. To say this is a cut above their mainstream neighbours is to do understatements a disservice. This morning I went for an almond croissant, really delicious and the perfect way to improve a Monday morning.

My usual coffee order of flat white done very well and all for under a £5 makes me a happy JD, even on a Monday morning.

Wild & Wood is a cozy cafe with excellent coffee, pastries and friendly staff. The open floor plan and closely packed seats take a bit of getting used to but are an endearing feature.

Best coffee in London. My shot of espresso was as good as the best I can get in Rome.
it was a double but I'm not complaining a moment.

The coffee in this city has something to be desired aside from a couple great spots. I wasn't expecting this place to be as good as it was. One of the best coffees I have had in London. High quality cappuccino. Really nice staff, and a cute small shop.

You can't be blamed if you've not stumbled upon this little place before, as I think that's the only way a lot of it's customers found it too. But it just proves you can find some real hidden gems in this city if you keep your eyes open.

It's extremely quaint inside with no wi-fi and limited seating, so it's a wonderful little place decorated floor to ceiling in wood with church style bench seating to tuck yourself away and catch up with friends.

They have their own version of the cronut in stock, but they sell out quickly so get down early if you want to give one a try! While their selection of sweet & savory is limited, their cakes (especially the carrot cake) is perfectly baked and will leave you wanting to try out the rest of their options!
